As per the updated information it is reported that the late art director Nitin Desai had recently contacted the Maharashtra State Co operative Bank to seek a loan. The Chairman of the bank VV Anaskar stated that Nitin Desai approached the bank for the loan.
However, the exact amount of the loan that Nitin Desai requested has not been disclosed in the statement made by VV Anaskar. It is mentioned that Nitin Desai company was facing difficulty in repaying a loan of Rs. 252 crores to creditors and the National Company Law Tribunal had initiated insolvency proceedings against the company.
