Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra's wife Spandana tragically passed away due to a heart attack on Monday. The 45-year-old experienced the heart attack while at a hospital in Bangkok, as reported by various media sources.
Spandana was reportedly vacationing in Thailand with her cousins when the unfortunate incident occurred. The underlying cause of the heart attack is believed to be related to low blood pressure. Her remains are expected to be transported to Bangalore, and upon arrival necessary formalities and rituals will be conducted.
Spandana was the niece of Congress MLC B K Hariprasad and the daughter of retired police officer B K Shivaram. While she made a guest appearance in the movie Apoorva she also held ties to the entertainment industry. She married Kannada actor Vijay Raghavendra in 2007.
Vijay Raghavendra's brother Sri Murali confirmed the tragic news of Spandana's passing. He revealed that she was on a family vacation and went to sleep as usual but sadly did not wake up. Vijay Raghavendra is currently in Bangkok, while the family in India awaits further updates regarding the situation.
She went to bed yesterday night, and this morning she wasn't there. In a briefing to reporters Sri Murali Vijay Raghavendra's brother said We believe it (death) is due to (complications resulting from) low blood pressure. He shared the information conveyed by his brother Raghavendra who reached out to him from Bangkok, where he was present at the time.
Industry sources have indicated that Spandana was preparing to return to India on Monday and had plans to participate in a movie promotion, as reported by IE (Indian Express. Following the heartbreaking news of Spandana's untimely passing, Congress MLC B K Hariprasad visited the grieving family in Bengaluru on Monday. The post mortem report for Spandana's remains is currently pending.

She completed her education at Mount Carmel College and in 2007 she entered a marital union with Vijay Raghavendra.
